MCS Traffic

MCS Traffic supplies comprehensive Traffic Management Plans, Permits to work from local Councils, Memorandum of Authorization (MoA VIC ROADS) and fully qualified Traffic Controllers to meet your Project specifications. MCS Traffic will deploy personnel, vehicles and all signage and equipment required to make any sized work site safe for workers and the Public. MCS Traffic coverage includes Metropolitan Melbourne and all Regional Centres in Victoria.

MCS Traffic is open 24 hours 7 days a week. With 2 depots around Melbourne and a number of mobile units strategically placed MCS Traffic can deploy an emergency call out team at any time

MoA

A Memorandum of Authorisation is a prepared document from VICRoads stating that a Traffic Management Plan and Consent to Works form has been submitted and supplied for prospective works by a Pre Qualified Traffic Management Company for the site nominated.

Only a Pre Qualified Traffic Management Company with the correct planning qualifications can apply and obtain an MoA from VICRoads

Traffic Control

Directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic around a construction zone, accident or other road disruption.

It is a requirement by law to have 1 Traffic Controller per lane in an affected work zone where traffic conditions have been altered or changed during the period of works.

Traffic Management Plan

A Traffic Management Plan (TMP) is a report detailing the work to be undertaken and the impacts the work will have on the general area. It also details how these impacts are to be addressed and may include a number of Traffic Control Plans (TCP).

No - All TMPs shall be prepared by a person holding a current RIICWD503D PREPARE WORKZONE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN Accreditation.
